Assurance Caring Together Prepares Materials for a New Math Program at GiGi's Playhouse

SCHAUMBURG, IL (May 18, 2010) - Assurance Agency Ltd., located in Schaumburg, IL, recently held its second Assurance Caring Together (ACT) event of the year. ACT is Assurance’s charitable program which provides monetary support to various charities, hosts multiple supply drives and offers employees a paid day to volunteer at a charitable event throughout the year.

Last week 10 Assurance employees volunteered at GiGi's Playhouse (www.gigisplayhouse.com), which offers resources, educational programs and support to individuals with Down's syndrom, their families and the community. Assurance employees assisted the organization by putting together materials for their new math program.  The volunteers worked on over 28 assignments and activities.  "It felt good to help out an organization that does such good work. It was a good day and I'd definitely do it again," said Assurance employee, Jennifer Tuazon.  ACT has 15 volunteer events planned this year to accommodate over 200 employees and will be back to assist GiGi's Playhouse in September.
